I applied internally to move to a different state. Had a 4 person panel interview and crushed it, was told I had the job within a week. They said I'd get an offer letter in three days, but then nothing for two weeks. A month went by, then six weeks, still no letter. All this time they said it was just paperwork and waiting for a director's signature. Then the recruiter called saying budget cuts meant they had to pull the offer. I'd stopped job hunting during those six weeks, so my search was stalled for two months. It was a really unprofessional process, they didn't respect me or my time.
