Candidate interview experiences
First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at NorthOne.
Product Manager
It was a smooth process, starting with some screenings, then a take-home project, and finally a behavioral interview. I talked to quite a few people from different parts of the company. The take-home project presented a made-up situation where I had to break down the problem and then suggest a way to fix it.
- Describe how you handle disagreements with colleagues.
Product Manager
It was a really disrespectful process, not valuing people's time. There was a short screening call with HR, followed by a long assignment. Then, they decided on next steps without even letting me present my work. Overall, it was a terrible experience that showed little respect for my effort and only a surface-level evaluation instead of looking at what I produced.
- Can you share some details about your background and what motivates you to join NorthOne?
- Develop a product plan for a to-do list feature.
Product Manager
Had a great interview experience at NorthOne. Started with a recruiter call where we had an organic conversation about my strengths, weaknesses, and career aspirations. The recruiter then shared details about the product and company, and I was impressed by their passion for the work culture. We concluded by discussing salary expectations, which unfortunately were not aligned with my current compensation.
- Can you introduce yourself and describe what you're seeking in your next career step?
- Tell me about yourself and your career goals for the future?
