First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Northern Health and Social Care Trust.
Bank Nurse
The interview was really calm and relaxed, making me feel comfortable. They took their time and were happy to rephrase questions. They provided a lot of details about the position, salary, and next steps.
- How would you manage a difficult situation?
Support Worker
It was a group interview with multiple interviewers. You need to know the job description well, have examples ready, and understand the CORE values. It's a bit nerve-wracking because other people are waiting for their turn too.
- How do you see the core values connecting with the responsibilities of this job?
Assistant Psychologist
The interview took place at Hollywell Hospital, but the signage was poor. I asked at reception, and they hadn't heard of the building. I found it by chance and ended up being a few minutes late, even though I was 30 minutes early.
- Can you describe your skills and qualities and how they align with the Assistant Psychologist job description?
- Could you explain a behavioral model of psychology?
- Regarding the provided case study of an adolescent experiencing bullying and low self-esteem, what assessment information would you seek?
Helpline Counsellor
The interview process was very smooth, and the office staff were really nice. They asked questions you'd expect for someone with experience in helpline counselling, so it's best to focus your answers on that rather than just general counselling. There were 3 interviewers and they asked 5 questions in total. The interviewers were really friendly and helped me feel more at ease.
- How do you seek support after a challenging day?
