Candidate interview experiences
First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at North Shore Bank (Wisconsin).
Teller
So first it was like a quick phone chat. Then, there was this super long online test with a bunch of questions about my personality. If I did well on that, I got called in for an in-person interview.
- Can you describe your previous job experiences?
- Tell me about your past work.
Teller Lead
I applied on their site then had a phone interview with HR. Then I did an on-line assessment about cash counting and teller situation questions a few days after. Then I had an in-person interview with the branch manager a week later. A few days after that, HR called with an offer, pending background and reference checks. The only part that wasn't ideal was for the references-they only wanted supervisors, not peers.
- Would you be comfortable recommending new products to customers?
Teller Supervisor
Applied Sunday, background check info requested Monday. Had a call Thursday to set up an interview for the following Tuesday. Interviewed that Tuesday and got the offer the same day.
- Can you share an instance where you provided inaccurate information?
- Describe a situation where you had a disagreement with a colleague.
- What would you consider to be your biggest weakness?
