The whole interview process took a really long time (8 months) and honestly, communication was poor. I had an all-day in-person interview on campus, which felt pretty unprofessional. Out of the four professors I was supposed to meet, two were late and two didn't even show up, they just popped up online. So why did they even ask me to come to campus? Some of the professors had this weird, almost vindictive Christian vibe.

I applied online to North Park University. The application required uploading my resume and cover letter, plus answering several essay-style questions. Because it's a Christian university, it asked about my church activities and religion. As a Christian myself, I found this question off-putting. Shouldn't they first determine if someone can do the job instead of judging based on religion? Anyway, I answered the questions. It was disappointing that after all those application requirements, there was no confirmation email or text that they received my application, nor was there any notification that they hired someone else. It felt unprofessional for a university.

  • Questions about one's church/religious activities
