First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at North Memorial Health.
HIM Assistant
The interview was done over the phone/video using Microsoft teams and it was about 30 minutes long. It was a pretty easy interview focused on behavioral questions, like describing a situation or how you would handle it, rather than technical questions about medical terminology, anatomy, or acronyms.
- Describe a time you had a team member who wasn't pulling their weight on a project and how you handled it.
Registered Nurse
It was a very positive and thorough interview, and the atmosphere was relaxed and friendly. The interviewer gave me time to answer and was open and encouraging, which I really appreciated. I was very satisfied with the experience. They took their time and asked relevant questions in a way that didn't feel threatening.
- Tell me about behavioral and situational scenarios.
- Do you have experience with clinical questions?
Coordinator
It was 4 panel staff Trust value questions Scenario questions e.g. how to deal with this situation etc About yourself Why nhs? Strengths and weaknesses Nice, friendly and easy going Personable team Attention to detail, key words e.g priority etc
- Can you tell me about our trust values?
- How would you handle a specific situation?
- Tell me about yourself.
IT Supervisor
The HR person used my professional references to compare me against the other top candidate which was unorthodox and unprofessional. This put me in a bad spot as I would have to ask my references for feedback later when I received a job offer. I will not provide references until I am sure I am the one selected. Everyone else was nice and I enjoyed talking to the hiring manager. I made it to the second round. I had to wait too long to find out if I got the job. The entire process took over 2 months and was slow and choppy.
