First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at North.
Sales Representative
It began with a lengthy phone call with a recruiter. After that, I had a Zoom meeting to discuss the job with a manager. This Zoom call was very brief, about 5 minutes, and I didn't get a chance to ask anything before they ended it. Then, I was asked to drive 45 minutes for an in-person interview. When I arrived, the interviewer seemed unprepared and left me waiting for 15 minutes while they were on their computer. Their office and desk were messy, with inappropriate meeting stuff on the desk between us. The kicker was when they mentioned they're okay with not paying their sales team a salary, implying their income should solely depend on product sales. When I tried asking about the role, pay, and sales process, the interviewer seemed annoyed and gave unclear, unhelpful answers. It felt like a sales department with high turnover for the sales team. Lots of red flags, a real waste of time.

Project Manager
I first got reached out to after applying on LinkedIn, and my HR chat was set up for the following week. It felt like the start of something, and the HR person made a really good impression. They were friendly, which made it easy to talk about my background and what I'm looking for. The week after, I had two more chats, one with my hiring manager and another with her boss. Those talks were also easy and everyone seemed really nice and professional. It all felt pretty standard, but at the time it seemed special compared to other companies. I was interviewing with a bunch of places then, and it really highlighted how different North American Bancard was. Some others were disorganized, I got stood up, and a couple of managers made me feel like I wouldn't like working there. The salary they offered was decent, not the highest, but it was a clear choice. North American Bancard felt like a well-run company with good people. I took the job, and I'm still happy with that decision six months later.

Technical Support Engineer
I sent in my resume for a Customer Service role, and about two weeks later, a recruiter reached out about a Tech Support position instead. We chatted on the phone about the role, and I expressed my interest. The first interview was with HR, where we discussed the company, the job, and the interview process. Then, the HR recruiter gave me a tour of the really cool, modern office. After the tour, I met with the Tech Support supervisor and another supervisor in a conference room for the main interview. It felt pretty relaxed, which was nice. The interview lasted about 30 minutes, and the supervisor gave me feedback as we walked out. Four days later, the recruiter called to say I'd hear back soon. On Thursday, I got a call confirming my background check was clear and that I had been offered the position, which I accepted.

Linux Systems Administrator
So I applied online and then got a phone screen. After that, I had an in-person interview. The questions were pretty basic, mainly to see what technologies I knew. It was a nice process overall, but I had to wait a few weeks after the interview. I followed up with HR and they said they meant to call me earlier but forgot, and that the hiring manager really liked me but the position was on hold. They apologized for the delay and suggested not to wait for this role if I have other offers.
