Candidate interview experiences
First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at North Carolina Farm Bureau Insurance.
Customer Service Representative
The first interview was brief, and the manager seemed unprepared. He read questions from a printed sheet, likely for the first time. An online timed psychological assessment was also part of it. In the second interview, he listed things you shouldn't ask during an interview, though he'd asked me those very things in the first one. There was another online questionnaire, this time about sales, even though it wasn't a sales role. I was never contacted again, which I found unprofessional. After a second interview, at minimum, they should've sent an email saying they were moving in a different direction.
- Tell me about your family and how you'd balance your children's school schedule with this job.
- What do you consider your strengths and weaknesses?
- What makes you want to take this job?
Customer Service Representative
It was a really thorough process. I had an initial one-on-one chat, followed by a panel interview. The whole thing included a drug test, a physical exam, and a written test. They also had me do a psychological test, which was pretty eye-opening and helped me learn some new things about myself. It was tough, but it made me aware of some personality things I hadn't considered before.
- What makes you the best candidate for this role?
Customer Service Agent
It was a super chill and casual in-person interview. Before that, there was a quick fifteen-minute pre-screening call. The interview itself wasn't rough at all. It was really casual, and they had a test at the end.
- What was it about our company and this role that caught your eye?
- What's prompting your job search away from your current role?
- Could you tell us about the business practices at your current employer?
