The initial interview was a phone call with basic questions about how I would handle certain situations or how I've responded in the past. They also discussed my background, experience, and qualifications. Then, I had an in-person meeting for about an hour with the hiring supervisor and the direct supervisor for the role. They asked follow-up questions about my past experience and if I felt I was qualified for the job they outlined. After that, the two individuals took turns asking more questions about my background, my future aspirations, and my reasons for wanting to work at NCDOT.
