First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at North American Properties.
Property Manager
The initial two interviews went really well, and I was feeling confident about getting the job. Then, I was invited for a third interview with a corporate manager who seemed really arrogant. He started by saying it was 'just a chat' and not an interview, but then spent 20 minutes asking outdated questions from the 80s. To make it worse, he even picked up someone else's resume and started reading it while I was there. It was a crazy experience. The whole process took about six weeks, and I didn't receive an offer in the end. Honestly, that last interview was such a negative experience that I'm not sure I would have accepted the offer even if it had been extended.
- What concerns might you have about working here?
Labor
The interview process was pretty straightforward. I had my initial interview which was kind of a meet and greet. Then I got called back around a week later to come back for a more in-depth interview and two days later I was offered the position. Very professional but didn't come off too strong. It's a great company and you can tell that they really want to get to know you before they offer you a job. It's all about what kind of person you are mixed with your job experience past.
- Can you share an instance from your past employment where you demonstrated leadership and describe the outcome?
Front Desk Receptionist
The interview was super informal. We went to a nearby restaurant and had a normal conversation over water. It felt a bit off-putting because it seemed like I was being squeezed in before their dinner plans at the restaurant.
- Are you familiar with our properties?
Accountant
They maintained open communication about other roles even after I accepted a different offer. It was primarily a get-to-know-you type of interview, which I liked. The office was nice and the overall experience was positive.
- What extracurricular activities do you participate in?
