First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Norman Noble.
EDM Operator
So I talked to a headhunter who said it was a first-shift CNC Setup job, but then the company told me it was a 2nd shift EDM Operation role, which was different from what the headhunter said. A manager asked me if I was able to work weekends, and I said that if I was already working overtime during the week, I'd rather not so I can have a good work-life balance. He just laughed at me.
- Are you available for overtime and weekend work?
- Would you prefer not to work weekends if you were working weekday overtime to maintain work-life balance?
Milling Operator
The interview process was great. I was offered my current position a few months back and I have no complaints. Everything about the position was made super clear.
- Can you tell me about yourself?
- Can you share some examples of your past behavior?
- What are your salary expectations?
Quality Inspector
It was a 30-minute interview where we talked about the company and your skills for the position. I asked about the tools you've used, your call experience, and what you know about our company.
- What tools did you use for your quality inspection?
- What skills do you have for the position?
- What tools have you used for this position?
Swiss CNC Operator
For this role, you'll need to complete two written tests. The first test covers standard Swiss CNC operator machine operations. The second test is for the setup position and goes into more detail, not overwhelmingly hard but you gotta know your stuff.
- What is the correct sequence for replacing inserts, given about a dozen steps?
