I applied online, and my resume was selected by a different team than the one I originally applied to. The process was quite straightforward, focusing on motivational and competency-based questions. I really enjoyed meeting everyone, and the overall interview experience was pleasant! I received the results within a week.

The interview process was enjoyable and they covered my travel expenses to Norway. I had a nice morning touring the offices. It involved a group exercise and a first-round interview. The group exercise was engaging and pertinent to the job.

Case Behavioral Presentation

It was a 4-round interview process. Started with the manager, then a difficult case study and an interview with the manager and the head of the department. Then two more interviews with HR and the chief. The waiting time was long, I waited for over 2 months to get the offer.

Behavioral Technical Presentation

I applied online and about two or three weeks later, the head of economics called me. It was a really nice and professional chat. We discussed my past work, why I wanted to join NBIM, and some technical questions about current economic stuff. Then I got invited to the final round, which was in London. I had to prep a presentation on a trading idea and some economic theories. The whole thing had 6 people and lasted 3-4 hours. The last bit was a one-on-one with an HR manager, just asking about things like leadership, mistakes, and motivation. NBIM seems like a great place with awesome people and chances. The interview was a bit technical but always friendly, no one tried to be aggressive. Everyone there is super smart with cool backgrounds, so no need to brag. It would have been a fantastic chance, but they didn't pick me. You really need to be super ready to prove you're qualified!
