The interview kicked off with some questions about my personal background. Then it moved on to safeguarding and some scenario-based questions. The interviewers were nice, but I got the feeling they'd already made up their mind about who they wanted from the moment I walked in, and I was just there because they had to interview someone.

It started with a 30-minute timed task to see how I manage my time and priorities. There were two parts to this: one was to plan a fundraising pitch for a private donor, and the other was to design a flyer for memberships. After that, I had a 45-minute interview where I had to talk about what I'd researched. Then they asked me more questions and wrote down my answers. There were two interviewers, they were nice, I just tuned out the note-taking. They asked standard interview questions and some specific to the company.

It's a set interview process where you have to give examples of what work you have done. It's about illustrating your suitability for the job advertised. You score points for each question you answer. There normally is a test at the end to show your ability with the software they use. BEWARE: Most jobs are already spoken for due to reployment of staff even if you are lucky to receive an interview ! There is a HIGH possibly you may not get the job. Sad to say this stops new talent - which this organisation could desperately do with. I wish the situation was different . Their online application form process is awful it takes a lot of patience about 6 or more hours to put all the relevant information on, this is what staff say within the council and I have had recent experience of it! After the interview, there was no proper response. I don't understand why I was interviewed by Norfolk County Council. They scheduled the interview after carefully looking into my CV. Later, they gave feedback saying they were impressed with my skills and experience but were looking for someone more experienced. In these cases, they should have figured that out earlier before scheduling the interview. I was so hopeful and prepared hard to get this job. I'm so disappointed with it.
