First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at NORESCO.
Energy Engineer
I had a quick chat with a recruiter over the phone, and then they got back to me pretty fast to set up an onsite interview. My onsite was about a week or so later. I met with about four different people, and each chat was around 30 minutes, then I got a tour of the place. Just a couple days after that, they let me know they'd be sending an offer my way.
- Can you describe your experience with thermodynamic modeling?
Sustainability Consulting Manager
It took eight weeks for me to go through the interview process. There were two in-person interviews, and then a 30-minute phone call with HR. The HR person was friendly and seemed to put me at ease, but was also very professional and direct. The interview moved faster than I expected and there weren't any surprise questions. I got a Benefits Summary after the phone interview, which would have been more useful if I had received it sooner. I wasn't impressed with how the communications were handled.
- If offered, would you accept a position at the base salary you indicated?
- Can you describe your professional background?
Senior Mechanical Design Engineer
It was essentially 3 interviews over 3 months. I got quick feedback after the first one, but then had to wait a longer 3 weeks for the third interview. The questions felt more conversational than technically difficult. I talked about my past work, and I mentioned my difficult personal experience just before the pandemic, which caused a 3-year employment gap. This puts me in a unique situation where I'm finding it hard to return to work at the same salary level. I understand I might need to take a small step back to move forward again.
- What's your experience designing HVAC systems?
Senior Account Executive
This was one of the easiest interview processes I've gone through. It involved two interviews. The first was a standard HR phone call to get acquainted. The second was an all-day event where I met the whole team, which felt like about 6 or 7 interviews rolled into one day. After that, I received an offer.
- Regarding support, what's the single most helpful thing we could provide to make your job easier?
