It was 4 interviews back-to-back, each lasting 30 minutes. The third interviewer took 45 minutes and asked me to go into detail on every line of my resume. They also told me I was wrong when I used a nontraditional design in a project.

Got a call from a recruiter, then a 30 min phone screen with HR where we talked about my current salary, what I expect, and they quizzed me on 8 things. After that, another 30 min phone call with a manager. Then I had an on-site with two coworkers and my potential manager. So far, everything seemed good, but the recruiter was kinda pushy and unprofessional, twice. I told the HR rep I'd rather just talk to her from now on. Then they set up another on-site, same people, didn't ask anything new. After that, I had to fill out an application and give references. Again, got good feedback, but they said they were going in a different direction and didn't offer me the job. Not sure if the recruiter messed things up after I stopped talking to him or if they were just leading me on. No real reason given for no offer, and no feedback after they said they were going in a different direction. Kinda bummed I spent so much time prepping and getting my schedule sorted for multiple days just to not get an offer. The people seemed alright, so it wasn't a bad experience, just a letdown.

There was only one phone interview, no in-person interview was conducted. This is only the second time I've been hired solely based on a phone interview. They were only interested in my background, so I shared my relevant work history. I don't recall any overly esoteric interview questions, just generic ones about languages and compilers used for previous work, etc.
