So, the whole thing started with a quick call, then they invited us all – about 35 of us, split over three days – to their Canary Wharf office. They called it an 'assessment centre' where they'd throw different scenarios and role-plays at us. The day itself was pretty cool, met some really talented people, both candidates and the CEO Kevin. They were recording everything with voice notes, saying AI would help them pick who to hire by collecting data humans can't. They said they needed a week to decide because of all the data analysis. But then it all went south. They ended up hiring NO ONE, blaming the AI. Even though my AI report said I'd 'succeed as a Recruitment Consultant.' Total waste of our time and effort with a really poor interview process. They're relying way too much on AI, thinking they're so innovative but missing the human touch. It was a trainee role, but the feedback felt like they expected a seasoned pro who could apply a 30-minute training session as if they'd been making calls all day. They missed that some skills just take time and experience to develop. They could've definitely done better. I thanked them for the feedback, but hiring zero out of 35 promising candidates is just ridiculous.

First call was a casual chat, then a more in-depth one. Third step is a half-day simulation training. I'm waiting to hear if I proceed to the final stage. They were really clear about what the job entails, including salary and relocation details.
