The application, phone screening, and interview stages moved quickly and smoothly for those they were interested in. The recruiter was professional and nice to chat with. The hiring manager was surprisingly friendly during the interview, making it the best interview experience. It felt like a relaxed conversation and a vibe check rather than scripted or overly technical questions. I felt optimistic and hopeful after the call. Although I wasn't selected, it was still a great experience.

I applied through a consultant and my profile was shortlisted. The interview process had two rounds. The first round was a telephonic HR round where they asked basic questions like 'Tell me about your experience' and 'why you want to leave your existing job'. They also told me about the job profile and benefits. The second round was a face-to-face interview with the Senior Manager. They asked questions about my experience, technical questions on Reporting and Regulatory topics. I was given the JD and asked to mark the tasks I am currently doing. I ticked all of them, after which I was told that I wouldn't be doing anything new. I explained that with my expertise, I could bring process improvements and gave a few real-life examples from my previous organizations. The manager didn't seem convinced, but I still got the offer.

The interview process started with a phone call for background and knowledge check. Then, there was an all-day, 4-hour interview where I spoke with 4 people. I have a strong background in programming, software development, and IT BA experience, having developed 80 eCommerce websites myself using Java and JavaScript. I passed all tests during the interview. Unfortunately, I didn't get the job due to my age, as they said they were looking for someone more senior. Be aware, they seem to prefer candidates who lack up-to-date modern app development knowledge. I matched the job description 200% regarding experience with top banks and skills like Angular, JavaScript on front and back end. A senior lead developer asked only JAVA questions and was surprised when I explained JavaScript concepts, seeming unaware it can be server-side and unfamiliar with modern frameworks like Bootstrap, Magento, WordPress, and SEO.
