First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Nomura.
Analyst
It was a 3 round process: 2 technical rounds and 1 HR round. The technical rounds had questions about my resume projects, SQL, OOPS, and Flask. The HR round had no technical questions.
- Can you tell me about the concepts of Object-Oriented Programming (OOPs)?
- What are some questions about SQL?
- Tell me about your project from your resume.
Analyst
The interview process was pretty straightforward. They asked about my past experience on my resume and how it related to the job description and the role itself. I was interviewed by two managers. They also gave me a detailed timeline covering on-the-job training, upcoming projects, deadlines, and possible future career paths within the company.
- Do you know about middle office responsibilities and mortgage-backed securities (MBS)?
Global Markets Analyst
I applied directly through Nomura's website. The interview process had two rounds: a first round and then a Superday. The first round was one phone interview, and the Superday consisted of three virtual interviews. It was interesting that all the interviewers I spoke with were associates.
- They asked a market sizing question.
- They asked some technical questions.
- The interviewer asked behavioral questions.
