First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Nobu.
Server Assistant
The interview was a good experience, no weird questions or pressure. Management and staff were all nice, helpful, and worked hard. I had some issues with a couple of coworkers who seemed stuck up, but overall people were nice and helpful. I would have stayed if it wasn’t for the timing in my personal life being bad for that job. It was a great but demanding job.
- Tell me about your previous restaurant experience and why you think you'd be a good fit for Nobu.
Server Assistant
First, you gotta submit your application and resume online. Then, someone from the company will hit you up to set up an interview. After that, you'll chat with the floor manager, then the General Manager, and finally, the HR Director, where you'll also do some paperwork.
- What's your go-to dish to eat?
Server
The interview process was really simple. They asked about my past experience as a server and about myself. I had two interviews, and they were pretty easy. The interviewers were also quite friendly.
- Can you tell me a little about yourself?
- Please share details about your previous experience in serving roles.
Server
They ask basic restaurant hospitality questions like what are some common spirits and how to handle upset customers. I think you only speak with all the managers to ensure you could be a good fit for the team.
- How would you manage a difficult customer?
