I applied for the job and then was invited for an interview. I interviewed with two administrators and it was a very pleasant experience. They were very friendly and made me feel welcome. I only had the one interview and then I got the job offer.

The interview involved asking a lot of questions about my previous experiences, rather than focusing on how I would manage a classroom. It heavily emphasized assessment and instructional strategies that have proven effective for me. Some questions felt a bit off-topic and might not be the most useful for evaluating candidates. There were also several follow-up questions based on situations or stories I shared. A portfolio was required.

I was promised a full-time position no matter what it took to get it for me. I left one job for this position, but it was taken from me because I didn't have a teacher's license instead of them offering me an emergency permit.
