- Could you introduce yourself and tell me about your strengths?
- What are your key strengths?
Graphic Designer
I interviewed with the project manager who was nice. They asked me to do a design assignment as part of the process, which I did. I kept getting emails about delays for feedback and next steps for weeks. I ended up reaching out to the PM and CEO to explain why I don't often do free work assignments. It's been over a month and I was ghosted. If you're a designer, I'd say don't apply. It shows they don't respect design or the design process. It was an awful experience, so just look elsewhere.
- Could you tell me about your work style?
- What is your preferred management style?
- Are you willing to do some work for free?
Account Manager
The interview process here is a bit chaotic, suggesting some internal shifts and uncertainty about direction. You might need to proactively follow up to get any feedback, as I didn't hear back after any stage unless I reached out. Multiple times, I was told the role I applied for was 'undergoing restructuring' or 'paused.' I initially applied for Social Media Manager, then interviewed for Digital Account Manager, and then had a phone screener for an unassigned 'new account management' position. This went on for months, making it feel like the role kept changing. The people seemed nice and skilled, but the overall experience was quite frustrating.
- Can you describe your comfort level with generating content for various clients?
- Approximately how many articles do you produce weekly in your present job?
Editor
I interviewed for an editor role. It started with a chat on Linkedin, then two video interviews, and finally a take-home task. After all that, I was ghosted. This agency has rebranded as Mainland, so be warned if you value your time. I've seen CEO replies saying they respond to candidates, but that wasn't my experience. The people I interviewed with were all really nice, though.
- What are the qualities of good writing?
