I found the job on indeed and got a call not long after to set up a phone interview. The phone interview was basically an intro to the company and the role, where we chatted about my past jobs and skills, and they asked some straightforward questions about the job duties. About an hour later, they called again to schedule an in-person interview. This was with two department managers and felt more like a relaxed chat than a formal interview. They had my info from the phone call, so no questions were repeated, which was great. We talked more about my experience and what I'm looking for in the job. The managers were upfront about some ongoing issues in the department they're working on, which I really appreciated since many interviewers just try to sell you on the job. There were a few standard, almost cliché interview questions, but not so many that it felt unoriginal. It was genuinely one of the best interview experiences I've had. I got a call three days later with a job offer, which I accepted right away. The only hiccup was the background check, which was pretty thorough, including criminal and credit checks, and I had to explain some credit report details. I guess they need to be careful given their industry.

I was asked to wear business professional attire. I interviewed with the cashcows team lead. It was a fairly stress-free process. They answered all of my questions and concerns. It started with a phone interview with a very pleasant recruiter. The next stage was being asked to come into the office for an in-person final interview. I got the offer 9 days after the second interview.

Applied online and about a week later, I got a response for a phone interview with the recruiter. The recruiter asked some odd questions that didn't seem related to the job. After that, the recruiter said the hiring managers were traveling and she'd check with them about what they were looking for and if I fit, I'd move on. Apparently, I did, and I drove an hour for an interview. The hiring manager was nice and said she'd be in touch soon about next steps. I sent a follow-up thank you email and she said she'd be in touch again. I never heard back. I reached out to the hiring manager again and didn't get a response. I also emailed the recruiter and didn't hear back from her either. I found this to be really rude and unprofessional.

The interview process was quite long, and communication was difficult due to issues finding an English-speaking role. Overall, it was a mediocre experience (5/10), and I wouldn't return. I ended up finding another job nearby.
