The interview process was conducted entirely in Japanese. You'll be notified of the decision, whether accepted or rejected, so no ghosting. I had a virtual interview and received my results within two weeks after it concluded.

Since I was referred, the interview process was easy. It started with a phone chat with the HR director, then a virtual meeting with the department director, followed by a final interview with the CMO. The whole thing was very smooth and easy. I got a job offer in the end.

So there were 2 interview rounds and then a final project. I didn't get the job but I made it to the final round and submitted the project. They wanted a two page report about a possible real estate investment. The other questions were pretty basic, like background, previous experience, etc. The culture at this firm is something they are very upfront about, being that it is a Japanese firm projects can come in late at night. They did a good job explaining the environment to me ahead of time.

It was a fairly straightforward interview process with a couple rounds and a stock pitch. The first video interview included HR and investment people, which was a bit odd. A couple of downsides were the long and drawn-out process with poor communication, and the HR/recruiters seemed young and inexperienced, making for a less than ideal experience. They communicate salary upfront, and it's quite low, but there's flexibility to increase it. The investment team members, both Japanese and American, were very nice and friendly.
