The first chat with the Recruiter was okay. The next one with a team member was pretty interesting, I got to see how they thought about cultural fit being key to finding the ‘perfect candidate’. I guess coming from a US company background might not have aligned with their company culture.

I went through two interviews for this role, given I already had experience. As soon as I brought up how their starting pay was way lower than the industry standard, they decided to just go with other people. It seems like they don't really want people who will stick around for a long time for this job – Nippon seems fine with people constantly coming and going. You can find jobs out there that are ten times closer to you and have ten times less responsibility, and they'll pay you more. Definitely avoid this place.
