Data Analyst
There were 4 interviews in total. First, a fit check with my direct manager. Then, a technical interview where I had to build a model using AI, with a Data Scientist watching over my shoulder and listening to me explain my code as I wrote it. Next, a product case interview, which was pretty standard. Finally, a social interview to assess personality fit with another team member.
- How would you build a predictive model utilizing AI?
Client Partner
It was a pretty long interview process. There were 3 interviews plus an assessment that involved writing memos and emails to clients. Most of the people I met were really nice, except for one manager in the last interview. They came across as abrasive and unfriendly, and they were even late without apologizing. The interview ended early, and they avoided answering my questions. The second round required an in-person interview. The company is also planning on a 4-day in-person work week, which wasn't mentioned in the job posting.
- Can you tell me about your experience working with cross-functional teams?
- How have you handled a situation with a difficult or upset client?
Product Manager
The initial recruiter call was successful, but the hiring manager was quite lacking in human qualities. He mentioned joining the company due to its high revenue per employee, stated their screening criteria are 'intensity and urgency,' and only inquired further about my weaknesses. He was also late to the interview and ended it early, making no effort to be personable.
- Can you describe a product you launched that had a significant impact?
- What would you say are your biggest weaknesses?
- What are your strongest attributes?
Customer Success Director
My interview process for this role kicked off with a recruiter screening call. After that, I had an interview scheduled with the hiring manager via Zoom. Unfortunately, the hiring manager was 15 minutes late and only called me directly after I'd reached out to the recruiter to see if we needed to reschedule, since our calendar invite with the Zoom link apparently wasn't working for them. They seemed pretty distracted and unprepared, and had a hard stop which cut our chat short to only 15 minutes. It was a really disappointing experience and a total waste of time. I didn't hear back from them at all afterwards, no email or call to let me know they had moved on.
- Can you describe your management philosophy?
