So the interview was pretty involved. The last part was this big onsite panel interview. It was in a conference room with seven people, and some others were on the phone 'cause they couldn't make it in person. It went on for about two hours.

Behavioral Technical Other

The interview process began with a brief phone call. Following that, I had an in-person interview at their offices in Princeton, which involved a significant commute for me. The in-person part felt like a 'good cop/bad cop' scenario. Initially, I met with marketing folks and someone from engineering. They seemed a bit nervous and inexperienced but liked my previous work. After they left, I waited alone for a bit before meeting with a senior HR person for the second half. This part felt more like an interrogation, with aggressive questioning where my experience was dismissed. It felt like they hadn't even read my resume. I eventually had to push back. The role seemed to involve running my own department for low pay and high responsibility, suggesting they wanted someone easily controlled rather than a collaborator. They also wouldn't offer relocation assistance despite the need to move to Princeton, nor would they allow even a day or two of remote work to ease the commute until I could relocate. I didn't expect to hear back, but they contacted me afterward. I declined further engagement.
