Candidate interview experiences
First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Nikola.
Mechanical Design Engineer
Had a quick call first. They told me about the company and asked some basic engineering questions and about my career path. It went well, so they set up another interview with more technical questions.
- Questions about Newton's Laws.
- Basic engineering questions covering Newton's Laws.
Mechanical Design Engineer
I had a chat with a recruiter who was super nice. They told me about the company and the team I might join. Then, they hit me with three physics questions that are tough to answer on the spot, even if you know the material. I messed up two out of three and that was it for me. It's a bummer because I really thought I was a good fit and would do well there, but I guess that's how they filter people early on.
- How would you explain Newton's 2nd Law?
