Behavioral Technical

The interview process was really fast and the people I met were nice. They asked me some standard behavioral questions. I met with managers and got to ask them about the role. One thing that wasn't great was that the schedule for the job was advertised differently than what they told me during the interview. Looking back, I think they did that on purpose. The company wasn't upfront about the hours until the interview itself.

The first interview was a video call with 2 team members. It was a well-put-together interview that included both situational and technical questions. Since current team members were asking the questions, it felt like they were looking for a good team fit rather than just technical knowledge.

The interview was with the manager and 5 team leads. The manager initially mentioned advancement opportunities within 1-2 years, but then stated that all advancement roles are currently held by long-term team leads with no plans to leave. The interview felt hostile, focusing heavily on my past experiences, almost as if they were trying to find reasons to disqualify me rather than assess my skills. I wanted to showcase my team-building and respect-building abilities beyond just maintenance skills. I also observed a significant lack of diversity among the HR staff, team leads, and floor employees, with only one woman present among mostly men in their 30s-40s. This lack of diversity concerned me, potentially making others feel like they don't belong. The manager seemed uncomfortable answering my questions about diversity, which was a red flag, suggesting they might be resistant to diversity. After the 1.5-hour interview, I haven't received any communication.
