The initial interviews went really well, and I thought things were progressing positively for the role. However, after that, it felt like there was some hesitation to hire. I really wish they would have just decided to close the position instead of giving me more assignments and having additional talks, and then ultimately ghosting me. I went from having a fantastic impression of the team to feeling really let down by how long and drawn-out the process became.

First, I took a personality quiz and answered some short questions. Then, I had a video call with the VP of Client Services. After that, I traveled to the office in Norfolk, VA for a full day of in-person interviews with several team members. The interviews were professional, engaging, and enjoyable. I had great conversations that helped me learn more about the role and the company. I'm really excited about the company culture, which is fun but also very hardworking and focused on client success. I'm waiting to hear back about a decision, but I really enjoyed the interview process.

I was asked to come in for an in-person interview, Round 1, but the interviewer wasn't there. They seemed unorganized, and after figuring out what to do, they sat me in front of a computer for an online interview with someone in the Alexandria office. For Round 2, I went back to the office for an interview with two women who didn't have many questions prepared, which made me feel awkward. They never told me if I got the job or not.

I spoke with the recruiter for a quick chat to set up a more formal conversation, which went well. She mentioned their hiring challenge is that great people are already working. The interview process involves a phone interview, then some tests, another phone interview, and finally four in-person meetings at their DC office. I completed three online tests: a personality test, an 80-question assessment covering skills like pattern recognition, basic math, vocabulary, proofreading, and reasoning with spreadsheet data. After the tests, I had another phone interview with an Account Director, but I haven't heard back since. The extensive process was a bit of a red flag, but might be typical given the job market.
