A recruiter reached out on LinkedIn about an opening, and we set up a call to discuss positions. This led to an interview with the hiring manager for a role in the Mobility department. The interview itself was subpar. Despite my research on NextEra, the hiring manager didn't try to sell the company or highlight any positives. They also seemed put off by my questions about workload and work-life balance, which I consider important. Their answers indicated they were overworked and expected long hours in the role. I didn't receive any follow-up after the interview. While I understand it's a large company and I only spoke with one department, this experience makes me hesitant about future roles there.

The interview process had 2 levels. It started with a resume screening, followed by a manager interview. There was a 3-week wait time for the result. I interviewed for around 15-20 other positions at a similar level and roles, and this role was likely not the best fit compared to some others. I was offered another job at the same time, and this is the one I chose. They asked some technical skill questions and case scenario questions. I think the main focus was on strategy, capability, and reasoning.

I kicked off with the recruiter, then had two phone interviews that felt pretty repetitive and lacked depth, maybe because they didn't fully grasp the roles. Soon after, I was flown to Juno Beach for an in-person. This part took about two weeks. The interviews themselves were with a bunch of directors from different regions, all packed into one day, with around 5 interviews.
