Machine Learning Engineer
We'll start with a 30-minute call to chat about your interests, what you've done, and this role. Then, there are two separate 1-hour interviews. One will be a General Backend Coding interview, like Leetcode problems. The ML Concepts part can be pretty broad, so I wanted to give you a heads-up.
- Can you explain PRAUC?
- Can you explain bagging?
Machine Learning Engineer
The process started with a recruiter screening where we talked about my background, followed by two technical interviews. One of those technical interviews was focused on Data Structures and Algorithms, specifically dealing with trees. The other technical interview covered recommendation systems and fundamental Machine Learning concepts.
- Can you construct a tree from a given parent-child comment history?
Machine Learning Engineer
Rejected for onsite, after the hiring manager round. I heard the message after the ML system design round and HM round. It shouldn't be due to the ML system design round since I pretty much killed it. 1 hr after the HM round, heard from recruiter that I was rejected. I followed up for why, so far, haven't heard from them.
- Tell me about your strengths and weaknesses.
