The interview process began with either a remote phone screen or an in-person technical interview if you're located near one of their offices. The initial technical questions focused more on the MVC model and some basic design concepts rather than complex algorithms or data structures. If you cleared this stage, you'd be invited to a 'Super Saturday' onsite interview day, a large-scale event where many candidates are assessed simultaneously. This all-day event included a code test with a significant portion of multiple-choice questions and some coding, along with numerous interviews assessing cultural fit. There was also a group design activity with a presentation. "Sell" events like a career fair, meals, and opportunities to interact with employees were part of the day. They really emphasized their "better you, better us" philosophy, discussing holistic employee development beyond just technical skills. The employees expressed strong enthusiasm for integrating work and personal life, which might not appeal to everyone.

I had an on-campus interview, which started with a 30-minute chat with HR that was really personal and easy-going. Then there was a 30-minute technical interview with an Engineer; it wasn't super technical, mostly asking about my experience with few tricky questions. After that, I went to a Superday in Boston with about 50 other candidates. It was really well organized and professional. They had great food, and I got to meet employees and other candidates. We also had an office tour, and the whole experience was very positive. There was a 30-question multiple-choice technical skills test, but I don't think it was a major factor. They also gave me a programming test to code a really simple webpage in an hour; I didn't finish it, but I still got an offer. We did a group mock presentation where we used funny team names from geeky movies. It was a low-pressure, easy-going situation. There were two face-to-face interviews: one focused more on technical skills, and the other on personality. Throughout the day, there were several presentations designed to really sell NextJump. Just be yourself, but stay alert when talking to employees in what seem like casual situations, because they note down your sentiment from every conversation!

I applied for the role through the campus job fair and got a call for an interview the very next day. The interview lasted for an hour. The first 30 minutes were focused on behavioral questions, and the second 30 minutes were dedicated to technical questions. Both parts of the interview were pretty straightforward.
