So, there were five parts to the interview. First, I had a technical interview with two developers where I had to write pseudocode on a whiteboard. Second, I chatted with HR to get a feel for the company and discuss why I'm looking for a new job. Third, I met the COO, and we mostly talked about my personal and professional interests, and I learned about the company's history. Fourth, I met the CEO, which was great to see they're involved. Finally, a security advisor talked about the security clearance process and how easy it would be for me to get one.

I had about two or three 20-30 minute chats with software engineers. It was pretty relaxed, but the questions were serious and covered a lot. It felt more in-depth than other companies I've interviewed with, but in a good way. There was a whiteboard and pseudo-code part, which I actually liked. After that, I talked with two VPs, someone from HR about benefits, and then the President. It was really cool how humble everyone was, but they were all super passionate about the company and its mission.

It was a pretty good interview overall. I did a quick technical assessment and after it was reviewed, I was invited for an on-site interview. I was expecting to go over my code for the technical assessment with two engineers and then do some whiteboard problems if we had time. But, they hadn't even looked at my code and I didn't get to talk about it at all. I just did whiteboard problems for two hours straight, which felt pretty standard.
