First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Nexperia.
Marketing and Communications Specialist
It was easy, just go with the flow. They asked basic questions, some about Excel shortcuts, marketing research about the company, and also about my future plans. They asked if I wanted to do a thesis with the company and what topics I might be interested in.
- Questions about your resume and whether you read the job description.
- Marketing research about the company.
- Your future plans.
Data Engineer
I applied at Nexperia on workday and it took 2 weeks to be noticed by their talent acquisition. The first part was the initial interview where they'll assess the communication skills of the candidate. For the technical interview, basically they'll assess the candidates skills in data engineering. Most of the questions are about OOP in java, and SQL. Dont be afraid to this questions, it's relatively simple and they dont ask anything beyond what you've mentioned on your resume. Before answering technical question think first and don't just state the meaning of it. Also add when and why do we use a specific concept.
- Can you introduce yourself?
- Do you have any affiliation with your previous organization?
- Could you please walk me through your research and biggest project previously?
Recruiter
I only had the initial interview with one of the TA members. I really liked how she managed the whole interview. But, after that, I had to wait for 3 weeks to get rejected. She initially told me I would hear back in about 2 weeks. I sent one follow-up after 2 weeks, but nothing. A week later, I sent another follow-up, and finally, I got a standard rejection letter two days after that with no feedback. I emailed to ask for specific feedback, but never heard back.
- Can you introduce yourself?
- What's your background as a recruiter?
- What are your reasons for leaving your current job?
Qualification Engineer
The interview took about an hour. It started with me presenting a project from university and then answering questions about it. After that, they asked me competency-based questions to gauge my personality in a work and high-pressure setting. They also asked about my definition of quality and my motivation for seeking a qualification role. Finally, there were a few technical questions about p/n junctions and methods for testing component longevity in a lab. Three interviewers were present: an HR manager, a qualification engineer, and the qualification manager. The conversation felt disjointed as they didn't respond to my answers but just moved on to the next question.
- In your own words, what is the definition of quality?
- Tell me about a time you demonstrated leadership abilities.
