Data Analyst
The interview process at Newwave Technology involved several steps, starting with an aptitude test to check general problem-solving abilities. Then, there was a coding assessment to gauge programming skills. This was followed by a technical discussion where they asked about my experience and some basic Python questions. Finally, the manager posed a problem-solving question, specifically asking for the angle between the clock hands at 3:20, to test analytical and mathematical reasoning.

Project Manager
HR Recruiter set up an interview time/day without confirming my availability. I was contacted by HR for a phone screen. We discussed my background and experience. I was told that I would be contacted the following start of the week to coordinate a time/day for an interview with the hiring manager -- this did NOT happen. I was taken aback to see a forwarded invite that had passed that included the Hiring Manager and CEO. Immediately, I called the HR Recruiter and left a message, in addition to sending an email follow-up. Emails and calls were never returned. I had worked with the Client Org and also the Project in a different capacity. I was very familiar with the technology as well. In decades, I have never stood up an interview, nor have an interview scheduled without a time/day confirmed for all parties involved. Regardless of my experience, I do hope that the program I would have potentially supported be successful. The cause behind the Client is purposeful to the citizens of our Nation. I am writing this review in hopes that HR is aware and is able to better prepare its team when recruiting potential candidates.
- The interview was not conducted due to Recruiter error.
Operations
The interview process was quite detailed. It started with a brief phone interview, approximately 15 minutes long. This was followed by two in-person interviews. All scheduled meetings started on time, and I was given a tour of the office. Initially, I spoke with the HR recruiter over the phone. The first in-person meeting involved my potential manager and someone in a role similar to the one I applied for. For the second in-person interview, I met with the HR manager, another HR associate, and my direct manager. Both of the in-person interviews were about 35-45 minutes each.

Sharepoint Developer
I usually don't leave reviews, but my experience with NewWave was quite disappointing. I was initially excited about the role, drawn in by the CEO's background, but the interview process soured things. Despite reading some mixed reviews on Glassdoor, I decided to give it a shot, hoping to be pleasantly surprised. Unfortunately, the reviews were pretty accurate. The interview itself didn't feel as technical as I expected for a developer role, which was a bit unusual. I'm not sure if that's good or bad, but it was the least technical interview I've ever had. I thought it ended well until I was left waiting in a conference room for over 20 minutes to be walked out, and they mentioned they were still interviewing other candidates. The recruiter also told me the following week that I was the top candidate until the very last day. Looking back, I probably should have trusted my gut and not wasted my time. It felt like a complete waste, and I definitely wouldn't interview with them again. The remarks on Glassdoor really do paint an accurate picture. It felt like they were just going through the motions, and who has time for pointless interviews? It's not just disgruntled people saying this.
- No difficult or unexpected questions were asked.
