First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Newton.
Intern
It was 4 video interview questions. They asked for a self-introduction, my motivation to join, an explanation of consulting at Newton, and to talk about a random topic I find interesting recently (doesn't have to be about consulting). I found the whole interview process very refreshing as I could talk about myself more, instead of focusing too much on work aspects.
- Tell me about something you find interesting that has happened recently.
- Could you introduce yourself?
- What motivates you to join us?
Intern
Took a cognitive assessment online, it had 24 questions in 30 mins. Questions were logic based, some with numbers, some verbal and some non verbal.
- Did you encounter any logic based questions involving numbers?
- Were there any logic based questions that were verbal?
- Did you face any logic based questions related to non verbal reasoning?
Intern
It was a 3 stage process. The first stage was an online test that was pretty hard, you probably weren't expected to finish it all. The second stage was an online hirevue where I had to present slides, they wanted to see how I think on my feet. The third stage was an online assessment centre that started in the morning. First, I had to introduce someone else to test my presentation skills. Then there was another online methodology test, followed by a repeat of the online test. After that, we had a group task where information was split among everyone, so we needed good coordination to complete the tasks. We finished the day with a one-to-one interview and a data analysis task where I had to present my findings back to the interviewer. The whole process took a long time.
- Can you share an instance where you worked with clients?
