So basically, the first round was a written test, you could choose between Java or Python. I took the Java one, and it was pretty tough, covering intermediate to advanced stuff like applets. Then, round 2 was SQL, which was more basic to intermediate, and they had me do it on SQLZoo. Also in round 2, there were Data Structures and Algorithms questions, which I had to do on some online compiler. The last round, round 3, was an interview with the Founder, but I actually didn't make it past round 2.

The interview process started with a screening round that had MCQs, including testing-related questions. The second round was a face-to-face interview in Chennai (I traveled from Maharashtra for this) focusing on testing concepts like black box testing and scenarios. After clearing the technical round, I was told there was a formalities round and I was selected. However, when I tried to contact them, they ignored my calls and messages, which was a bad experience with NEWTGLOBAL.

The whole thing took about 2-3 weeks. First up was a technical interview over the phone with a Technical Architect in Hyderabad. Then, a second phone interview with the COE lead from the US, Irving. After that, I discussed salary and the role with their recruitment director in India. Next, there was a Skype interview with a VP. Finally, I was called for an in-person interview at their Chennai location. There, I had discussions and got an overview briefing about their company, departments, and the role. I also had a 1-hour discussion with the VP and the Technical Director.

So there were 5 interviews in total. The first one was a coding test where I had to complete 3 programs. Then there was a technical interview, face to face, covering basic and advanced Java topics. After that, I spoke with management about my current company's roles and responsibilities and salary expectations. The fourth round was a Skype call with a VP, covering data structures, web services, and coding problems – this round apparently screens out most candidates, including me. Finally, there was an HR round.
