Behavioral Technical Case

I applied online. The whole process took about 6 weeks. First, there was an HR phone interview and some background checks. Then, I had a product sense interview with the hiring manager, focusing on things like KPIs and testing. Finally, I had a technical interview with a teammate, but no coding was involved.

I applied and shortly after got an email from the recruiter to come in for an interview. From the security to the meeting the recruiter the process was awesome. Spoke to the recruiter for half hour and then to the manager of the dept. It was conversational just telling about myself and what to expect in the position. I just think if based on the interview process alone this would be a terrific company to be a part of. No offer was made yet but if they chose someone else I will have this experience of what I should expect from other companies. I put no offer bc I am waiting for an offer for next week

I was interviewing for a sales rep role over the phone. I felt good about my chances because I had already passed a written test. The interviewer asked me a question about how I'd handle a situation to satisfy a customer. I initially struggled but then shared a story from my previous job at a supermarket. In the story, a customer was unhappy with a product and wanted a refund, which I couldn't provide because customer service wasn't available. I told her this story, and she ended the interview. Afterwards, I worried I hadn't done well, even though I thought I would have been great at the job.

Behavioral Technical

It was a tough interview process with many interviewers, each seeming less enthusiastic than the last. One staff member even walked out saying 'Good luck to you...', which really signaled I wasn't getting the job. The first person I spoke with had a really off-putting appearance and attitude. I have friends who've worked there, and they suggest using it as a stepping stone. Honestly, Newsday seems more suited for lining bird cages or cushioning subway seats than for serious journalism.
