I applied for three jobs, and all had a similar interview process. It felt like a waste of time because they were duplicitous. They initially said I'd get a second interview and a callback the next day, but then I got a rejection letter without explanation, saying they chose candidates with better related experience, even though the job description said no experience was necessary. I have 10 years in hospitality and customer service, and the job is still posted over a month later. I had a similar experience with the other two jobs. For the room service job, they said they were going with people with more 'extensive' experience, which I found odd since it just involves taking orders and bringing meals to rooms. Overall, the hotel seemed pretentious, focusing on their status rather than recognizing that the job mainly requires being attentive, kind, and moderately fit.

The interview was really intense, just me and management, and they were staring right through me. They asked a bunch of questions about how long I've been doing this, how good I am at handling the floor, and if I know the menu and drinks inside out, including all the beers, wines (by the glass and bottle), and any special drinks they have, what's in them, and how to make them.

The interview process was pretty standard and moved along quite fast. The hiring manager was super chill and gave me a good feel for the company culture. She did pass my name along to a colleague who then called me unexpectedly. When I picked up, she assumed I'd be ready for an unplanned phone interview right then and there. That felt pretty unprofessional and was a bit of a letdown.

I went through two interviews. First, a short phone call with some questions. Then, an in-person meeting with two interviewers where they asked the same questions as before. I think I did great.
