I applied for a Marketing Director position. I had an initial meeting with the hiring manager. For this role, I was asked to complete a 1,500‑word marketing plan as a test assignment. I was also informed that there would be one to two additional interviews following this. I had concerns about this request because a full marketing plan is a significant part of the job, it's hard to develop a good one in a few days, it could conflict with my current job, and there was no guarantee my ideas wouldn't be used without compensation. Still, I did the assignment because I was interested in the job. After I sent in the marketing plan, I never heard back – no thank you, no feedback, nothing from the hiring manager. While I know ghosting happens, asking for a detailed strategic plan and then disappearing without any acknowledgment felt unprofessional. In my opinion, asking for extensive unpaid work when there's no real intention to move forward is unethical. Based on this, I wouldn't apply to this company again.

Behavioral Technical

I was highly disappointed in my interview experience, it was unprofessional and rude. The recruiter called me at the wrong time for my first interview, and then scheduled someone else's interview for my final interview (literally said the other person's name and was at a different time than mine was supposed to be). I didn't mention it, and she canceled that interview and rescheduled me, but this was very uncomfortable. After that, I didn't hear anything for over a month, despite sending a follow up email to check in on the role 3 weeks after my final interview (the role remained open/under consideration) and then an additional follow up a week after which I only sent them know that I had received an offer elsewhere and ask about the status of the position. Complete silence. Eventually, after over a month of interviewing multiple times and waiting, I was moved to "no longer under consideration" via the company portal. It felt very frustrating to be ghosted after making it through all interview rounds without so much as a quick response to my emails.

I interviewed in person 3 times on-site at their office. For the third interview, I waited in a conference room to meet with two hiring managers but they never showed up to interview. I was waiting in the glass conference room for nearly 2 hours until finally they said they could not meet with me today. I never got a return phone call, email or apology of any sort to reschedule the interviews. Very unprofessional and just ghosted me after the whole interview process and travel to their office every time.

So I had this interview for an intern position, it was kinda medium difficulty. They asked about software engineering stuff and then I had to do a live technical summary and then a panel interview. I got the offer for the software engineering internship, which is awesome. The whole thing was pretty useful, gave me a good idea of how my skills are used in the real world and made me even more sure I want to do software engineering as a career.
