I applied through LinkedIn and heard back about a week later for a phone screening. I scheduled it online and had a 10-15 minute call with the recruiter. They said they'd contact me if the hiring manager was interested. About a week after that, I got scheduled for an in-person interview. It was about 2.5 hours long with 3 people. They seemed interested and I thought it went well. They mentioned the process would take less than a month. So, after two and a half weeks with no word, I followed up with the 3 people I met. It's been 6 weeks now and I haven't heard back from anyone, not even the recruiter, and they haven't responded to my thank you notes or follow-up emails. This lack of response is unusual and makes me concerned about working there. It seems like this happens at NYRR based on other reviews, and it's a waste of time not to at least send a polite email saying they chose another candidate. The job is still listed online, so it's unclear what happened, but it was unprofessional and a waste of my time and energy.

They reached out to me about a month after I applied. Within a week of them reaching out, I had a phone interview and then an in-person interview. They checked my references the day after my in-person interview. They said they'd have a decision within two weeks. After that, I contacted them four times and was told no decision had been made and that they would update me. After trying to call the HR rep multiple times and leaving messages, I got no response at all. They completely wasted my time and led me on for weeks.

The process started with a phone call from HR, then a call with the department head, followed by in-person interviews with the hiring manager and department head. It was pretty messy and unprofessional. HR gave me wrong information about my interviews a bunch of times. The interviewers didn't make the team sound like a good place to work. I left feeling less interested in the job and company than when I started.

Behavioral Technical Presentation

So first, there's like a screening call to check if you're qualified and interested. Then you chat with the manager. After that, you meet with a group of team members to see how you'd work with them and if you can lead. Finally, you'll have meetings with executives. They want to see if you're a good fit for the company culture, if you think strategically, and if your long-term goals match NYRR's mission of getting people involved in running and youth programs.
