I took a quiz first, then I spoke with the hiring manager who gave me a lot of info about the role and the process. After that, I talked to some other people in the company.

I found the job on Monster and a recruiter from New York Life contacted me the next day via email. The following day, I had my first interview, which was a preliminary one. The office is really close to Grand Central. I didn't have to wait long in the lobby. The Senior Representative I met was friendly and explained a lot about New York Life Insurance Co. and why it's a good place to start a career. We chatted for about 45 minutes, and he asked me basic questions about myself, my background, and my aspirations. After that, I took a 10-minute online assessment to see if I was a good fit for the company's values and the role. A few hours after the interview, the Senior Representative sent an email thanking me and saying it was nice meeting me. The email also included some reading material about the company, which he asked me to review and respond to thoughtfully. Once I sent my response, he mentioned he'd contact me about a second round interview where I'd learn more about the company and the role and meet the Senior Partner. So far, the process has been fast, and New York Life seems like a good place to begin my career.
