I was contacted by the Director in December 2019 for this role and interviewed a week later. Then I had a second interview with the two coordinators I would be managing. After a three-week gap, I got a third interview with a Manager. Weeks later, the Director contacted me for the final interview, which was an assignment that required immense creativity and attention to detail, about 40 pages long. After submitting it, the Director asked for references and said she’d be in touch. I never heard back, and my references weren't contacted. A week later, the VP was re-posting the job on LinkedIn, with the Director sharing it. The New York Islanders have since shared content inspired by my assignment, leading me to discuss the situation with lawyers.

I reached out to the department head about an internship, sent my resume, and my skills seemed like a good fit. Since I was in college, they said I needed to do an in-person interview. I interviewed over Thanksgiving break when I was home. The interviewers didn't really lead the conversation, so I had to ask a lot of questions about the position. They offered me the job two days after the interview.

The interview process was super fast, like no time was wasted at all before getting an offer. I met with two managers I would end up reporting to. Everything went really smoothly. They even showed me what the job would actually be like during the interview. Overall, I was pleased with how it all went down.
