I had a great time interviewing at New Relic. It was 2 or 3 phone calls, each lasting 15 to 30 minutes, and then one in-person interview where I met with four different people for about 30 minutes each. I liked it because it felt more like a chat than an interrogation. Everyone I talked to, no matter their level, was clear about what they were looking for and asked questions that really fit the job and the company. They were all super nice and really into what they do, which made it easy to be myself and imagine working there. It's my first week as an SDR here, and I can tell the interviews were a good preview of the team and company culture. Plus, the training and support are amazing. They really help new hires get set up for success.

The hiring process took about 4 weeks. I first got contacted by a recruiter, but then I decided to reach out to the VP of sales directly via cold email, which went well and led to setting up interviews. After that, I spoke with the SDR manager, and that also went fine. I was then given a project to complete and after that, scheduled a final interview. Apparently, there was a management change the week of my interview. The manager I met was new to the company, seemed knowledgeable, and we did a role-play of cold calling for a product that wasn't even related to the company. It was a hard sell, and I was told I'd hear back. It's been over a week and I've sent several follow-up emails.

Recruiter got back to me within the week I applied. Scheduling was a bit tricky so I talked to a few recruiters. I had two interviews, one with a recruiter and one with the SDR manager. The recruiter was nice but didn't seem very enthusiastic. The SDR manager seemed to have already decided about me before the call even started. He mentioned at the beginning that the call would be shorter than expected. He was abrupt, rude, and uninterested. It seemed like he was just reading questions from a list.
