First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at New Pig.
Manager
It was a thorough process with comprehensive questions about my experience. A lot of the interview was conversational because they had researched my background and knew the role well. They had already asked several knockout questions during the phone screen. There was also an assessment tool to complete. It was clear they put a lot of effort into finding the right people by the questions they asked and how they treated me. The culture was immediately evident. New Pig wants to ensure you're a fit for the role and the role is a fit for you. They were compassionate and smart, which I appreciated. They were decisive and quick, letting me know their interest shortly after, which made me feel valued and appreciated, and was why I accepted. Now, being on the inside, I see they treat people well during the process, which explains the high acceptance rate. I was interviewing with other well-known employers, and some had 'gotcha' questions or long processes. New Pig understood their needs and moved quickly, which is important in this market. The whole process, start to finish, is just their way of doing business and treating people. They focus on the little things, and accepting this offer was the best decision I could have made. Great company. Great people. First class.

Data Engineer
It was a Jobvite video interview. You get about 1 minute to prep for each question and 1 minute 30 seconds to answer. The questions covered self-introduction, your motivation for being a data engineer and joining New Relic, your understanding and familiarity with SQL, your grasp of data modeling, and your past data project experience.
- Can you start by introducing yourself?
- Could you explain your interest in becoming a data engineer?
- What are your reasons for wanting to join New Relic?
Warehouse Worker
The process involved a lot of waiting around between calls. It took about a month of phone calls before anything else happened. They kept asking the same questions over and over. After the interview, I had to wait another 2-3 weeks to get any news back. I really need a job, not this runaround.
- Were you asked again if you had prior experience?
Project Manager
I applied online and got a call the very next day about coming in for an interview. I had the interview about two weeks later. They asked me about my past experience and skills, and how I would deal with different scenarios. I got an offer, but I couldn't take it.
- Can you tell me about your previous experience?
