It was a two-part interview. First one was in-person, and the second one was remote. The second one was basically the main interview. There was a small test to check your abilities with MS Suite.

I applied on July 9, 2024, and on October 16, I got an email to go to a Job Fest. The email told me what documents to bring. At the Job Fest, we all sat in a room and staff told us about the job and checked our documents. Then, we had 10 minutes to do a writing exercise based on a scenario. After that, they called us one by one to interview with two supervisors from different offices. They gave us case scenarios to see how we'd handle them. About three to four weeks later, I got a letter saying if I was on the hiring matrix. You can stay on the matrix for up to 18 months if you get on it.

So there are two interviews. The first one is at a neutral location with other people applying from all over the state. You'll be in a big room with two interviewers who are from different offices. Other interviews will be happening at the same time. Then you have a second interview at the local office that wants to hire you. These interviews can be different, like sometimes it's a group interview, sometimes it's one-on-one, or two-on-one. You also have to do a written assignment where you get different scenarios. The whole thing takes about a month. You could be on the hiring list for up to a year, but it really depends on the person.

You start by getting a letter to attend a job fair. At the job fair, you'll do a 10-minute writing sample, then get your paperwork checked (you get a packet in the mail after accepting). After that, you'll have an interview with a 2-person panel. If you pass this interview, you'll be put on the hiring list. Then, local offices can reach out to you for a "meet and greet," which is basically another interview with the local office manager.
