First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at New Hope Fertility Center.
Administrative
I had a few interviews that were short and informative. It was an easy process and helped me understand the company better. They were very responsive during the interview timeline. I had one virtual interview and one in-person final round.
- What are you looking for in a new company?
Coordinator
I had an initial video chat with the HR rep, who was very pleasant. Then, I was asked to come in to meet the CEO and another team member. The CEO was disheveled and seemed unprepared, not knowing she was meeting me or anything about me. I was asked to fill out a PDF job application form and send it back via email, only to be asked to fill it out again by hand upon arrival. The CEO had both versions. This demonstrated disorganization. I decided not to proceed with my candidacy.
- Can you introduce yourself and explain your qualifications for this role?
Embryologist
Waited 45 mins for HR, she seemed to have forgotten about my interview. We talked for 10 mins about the company, she asked very few questions. Then I waited 15 mins and met 2 embryologists. We talked about lab assistant (entry lvl) responsibilities. They want people VERY attentive and willing to help out a lot and to grow in the company. There's a lot of overtime and it's a 365 days a year position. It was a very easy going mood during the interview and I was shown the lab upstairs from outside through windows. I thought it went well but I was turned down after 11 business days of silence. They may say they will get back to you about moving onto the next part of the interview very soon but it's not true.
- Tell me a little about yourself.
- Could you share if you're family oriented and tell us about your family?
- What's your commute like? How long does it take, and what public transport do you use?
Embryologist Assistant
I first had a quick chat with the HR manager. Then, I met with two embryologists who went over my resume and asked some personality questions. They also gave me some info about what happens next. The interview felt pretty laid-back and enjoyable. I haven't heard back yet, but I felt it went pretty well.
- Would you be okay with working on weekends and holidays sometimes?
- Is pursuing further education something you're interested in?
