I saw they were hiring and went to the store to drop off my CV at the front desk. They took down some details and said they'd call me. They did call and asked me to come in for an interview a few days later. I went to the store, and an employee led me to a cafe across the street for the chat. We discussed my background, why I wanted the job, my strengths and weaknesses, and how I've handled tough situations or done good work. They mentioned they'd let me know about the outcome, but I never heard back.

Behavioral Technical

The hiring process at New Balance usually goes like this: First, you submit your application online with your resume and cover letter. Then, the recruiting team checks if you fit the job requirements. If you do, they'll contact you for a phone or video chat to confirm your CV details, see if you're motivated, talk about salary expectations, and tell you more about the job and company. If that goes well, you'll come in for one or more in-person interviews. This might include meeting with your direct manager to go over your technical skills and job duties, meeting your potential teammates to see if you'd fit in, and talking with HR about company values, career growth, and benefits. Depending on the role, you might also have to take some tests, like technical ones for specific skills or personality assessments to see if you align with the company culture. They might also check your references from previous jobs. If all goes well, you'll get a job offer with all the details about the position, pay, and benefits, and you'll have some time to decide.

Behavioral Other

The interview process was totally unprofessional and it was obvious that the manager and assistant manager were not interested from the beginning. The manager started asking questions that were not acceptable in an interview such as asking how much my previous employer made on a yearly basis along with their averages which had nothing to do with my interview. The manager and assistant manager made me feel uncomfortable by asking these types of questions which set a bad tone for the rest of the interview.
