First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Nevada Gold Mines.
Project Engineer
It was pretty straightforward. First, the recruiter called to see if I was available and interested in talking with the team. Then, I met with the area manager and supervisor. They mostly asked about my background and didn't go deep into job-specific tasks unless I brought them up. Finally, the recruiter called me back with the offer.
- Tell me about a time you had a problem with someone on your team and how you handled it.
Metallurgist
The interview process was smooth and involved open-ended questions. We started with a phone call with about 5-6 people, then had an in-person meeting. The in-person meeting costs were covered if you lived further away.
- Could you share your experience relevant to this position?
Geologist
The process was straightforward and really professional. Started with a zoom meeting with some key team members, then there was an on-site meeting where I met all the departments. It was a good day on site, everyone was nice and the environment seems great for working. They had an organized interview process and it was fast.
- Can you tell me about your experience in mining operations?
Intern
It was a one way video interview that I did all by myself on a platform online. When a question popped up, I had a little bit of time to read it and think about it. Then, the system started recording me with my camera and mic. I had two minutes to give my best answer before it automatically cut off and went to the next question. No one was there watching me live, they'll just review my answers later.
- Can you tell me about your strengths and weaknesses?
