Candidate interview experiences
First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at NeuroGrow Brain Fitness Center.
Brain Coach
It was a really quick and messy interview. They weren't great at explaining the job or anything important, mostly just checking availability. Seems like a strange, unhealthy place...
- Are you able to work on weekends and for 12 hours a day?
Brain Coach
I came across this opportunity on Care.com and decided to drop in for an interview. The job description was a bit vague, but the qualifications listed were a perfect match for my experience. The interview itself was pretty brief and got straight to the point.
- Can you introduce yourself? And what makes you a suitable candidate for this role?
Brain Coach
The doctor had his wife filter through candidates from ZipRecruiter and Indeed that she thought would be a good fit. She would then pick her top 10 and bring them in for interview day. The interviews are back-to-back, and each person rotates between staff members for about 10-20 minutes each, just talking to see if you would mesh well with them.
- Can you tell me about your counseling experience?
- What did you study in college?
- What are your future aspirations?
Brain Coach
The interview process was very pleasant and welcoming, with open communication. It typically involves a phone interview followed by an in-person one-on-one meeting with the doctor and the chief of operations. It was a fun and enjoyable interview experience.
- Do you have any background in neurology, psychology, or sociology, and are you energetic and enjoy one-on-one patient interaction?
